QCCC Venues Weather the Storm and Resume Operations

Update on QCCC venues following Cyclone Alfred:

Ex Cyclone Alfred Update for QCCC Venues

In the wake of Cyclone Alfred, we are grateful to report that all four QCCC venues have come through the severe weather event with minimal impact. While the cyclone brought strong winds and heavy rainfall to South East Queensland, our infrastructure remains largely intact, and we have been working hard to ensure our sites are fully operational again.

QCCC Mapleton – Back in Action

QCCC Mapleton is  already back to full operation, welcoming campers as scheduled. The site has been thoroughly checked, and any minor disruptions caused by the storm have been addressed. It’s a joy to see groups back onsite, engaging in the camp experience once again.

QCCC Brisbane – Power Restored and Fully Operational

After experiencing a power outage, QCCC Brisbane had electricity restored on Tuesday night. With full services back online, our Brisbane venue is once again ready to host groups and provide a seamless camp experience.

QCCC Tamborine – Awaiting Final Power Restoration

QCCC Tamborine also weathered the storm well, with tree and ground maintenance swiftly completed to ensure the site is safe and welcoming. While we are still awaiting Energex to reconnect power supply, we have been advised that restoration is expected by Saturday, 15th March. We anticipate that QCCC Tamborine will be fully operational by early next week.

Cobb and Co Campgrounds – Ready for Survival Camp

Our Survival Camp location at Cobb and Co Campgrounds remained largely unaffected by the cyclone and subsequent rainfall. With little to no disruption, it is ready to host our next Survival Camp booking without delay.

Looking Ahead

We are incredibly thankful for the resilience of our sites, the quick response of our teams, and the patience of our guests during this time. As always, safety is our top priority, and we appreciate the efforts of Energex and other service providers working to restore essential services across the region.

For any updates regarding bookings or operations, please contact our team. We look forward to welcoming all our campers back and continuing to provide meaningful outdoor experiences.
