Outdoors Queensland Awards 2022

On Friday 28th October 2022 the annual Outdoors Queensland Awards took place online and saw outdoor recreation organisations and operators from around the state of Queensland gather virtually for the 2022 award recipients to be announced.

This year QCCC’s Director, Andrew Grant, was nominated as a finalist for The Queensland Government Individual Achievement Award. Also, our good partners and friends at Triballink were nominated as a finalist for The Queensland Government Outdoor Recreation Award.

The results:

We congratulate Andrew on being a finalist this year, however, unfortunately, Andrew did not take out the winning honours for the Individual Achievement Award category in 2022. This year’s winner, Graham Pringle, previously worked at QCCC Mapleton before starting out on his own to build Youth Flourish Outdoors. He is a highly deserving winner!

However, we are so pleased to congratulate Triballink for their well-deserved win, awarded the 2022 Queensland Government Outdoor Recreation Award. It has been years of dedicated and challenging work for Triballink to get where it is today, a highly sought-after Cultural Awareness precinct for both school camps and corporate training. It was great to be with the Triballink team on the night and to see their joy at winning this recognition. We are so proud to partner with them at Mapleton and Noosa, and to see Triballink achieve its goals.

Here is the announcement from the evening:
