15 Sep CAMPFIRE Internship Program Nominated for Award
QCCC Mapleton’s CAMPFIRE Discipleship Internship Program has recently been nominated and selected as a finalist for the 2023 Outdoors Queensland Awards in the ‘AQIA Workforce Development Award’ category. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the QCCC Mapleton team, who have developed a unique and innovative program that helps young people gain valuable skills and experience in the outdoors industry.
The Campfire Discipleship Internship Program is a two-year internship that includes a spiritual formation program that provides young people with not only the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the outdoors industry, but also a foundational understanding of the Christian faith. During the program, interns work alongside experienced staff members to learn about a wide range of outdoor activities and more. The program also includes training in leadership and communication, as well as opportunities for personal development.
The nomination and selection of the Campfire Internship Program for the 2023 Outdoors Queensland Awards is a well-deserved recognition for the QCCC Mapleton team. The program has helped to develop the next generation of outdoor leaders, and has provided valuable opportunities for young people looking to gain experience in the industry. Congratulations to the QCCC Mapleton team on this achievement, and we wish them all the best for the awards ceremony in October.
